My internet provider is terrible. I get five minutes of internet, then three hours of nothing. >_< Kind of makes an online artist want to retire. But I WON'T~! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha!

I'm feeling much better now. Sorry that I've been out of it for the past few months. Now I play catch up to the millions of messages game.

Oh, and a question: does anyone know of a good pen/outline tutorial for photoshop? I have no idea how artists get such smooth outlines. I suck so bad. Even with a tablet, my lines are so wobbly that they look like a six-year-old's fridge drawing.

welcome back! you can use the pentool, and use stimulate pressure when you stroke the path using a predefined brush setting, maybe one day i will make a tuotrial on that :lol:

Honestly, I hate the pen tool.

I use the first of the default brushes -- the standard hard circle one, you know?
Have that at 3.
Image Size > put it at 200% More if you've got the RAM and patience for it.

Then I line it there. When you reduce it back to the normal size, then it'll be a lot smooother, and a lot of the mistakes wont be as evident~

That's just what I do, at least.

I'm actually working on a tutorial on how to use the Pen tool for my independent study class. I'll let you know when I'm done.

I still suck at outlining stuff with my tablet too! Yay for being inept, right?! Like Shad said, zooming in a lot is a good way to approach it. Plus, I'm make and still pencil draw things, scan em in, and correct them in PS so it gives me some lines to follow.

Aside from that, I've got nothing. :D

My photoshop is ancient. I think it's like...elements version 5 or something. My skill level matches it, so no worries for me <3

RAM + patience. Well, my compy doesn't have much of the former and I have some of the latter...this means that your techinique should work just fine.
